We’ve done two major projects with Randy Bonnevie – a large house addition and a barn garage. With both projects, his work was absolutely first-rate — from materials, to “client management,” to craftsmanship. He does have one annoying quality, though – he’s always right. Every time we overrule Randy’s recommendations, we live to regret it. We’ve learned to simply not question him – when he makes a recommendation, we know it’s right. And at the end of the day, that’s exactly the kind of confidence you want to have in your contractor.

Our largest project with Bonnevie Construction was the build-out of a new two-level outdoor deck with a hot tub area. Randy’s knowledge of construction was extremely valuable in designing the foundation and platform for the hot tub, as we wanted it to be placed on the deck level which would be 10 feet above ground. It was a rather big challenge! We also requested that the tub be slightly sunken within the flooring of the deck for ease of entry. The end result exceeded our expectations! We had Bonnevie Construction design and renovate an existing family room into an office and a mudroom as well as an addition off the back to extend our kitchen/dining area. By using green construction practices, they were able to salvage and reuse materials from one of the existing rooms for the new project. They also installed our favorite feature-cork flooring. From demolition to the final painting, the Bonnevie team was a pleasure to work with and we are thrilled with the results of the renovation.
